CWCI Radio Woburn

One question I get asked quite often is "What's CWCI?"

In a nutshell, CWCI was Woburn's closed circuit radio station in the late 1970's, broadcasting live to the hallways & Cafe from 8am - 9am weekdays and during lunch hours - (to the cafe only). The studio was located in the nursing station. For some reason the school nurse was only in once a week, so the room sat empty. CWCI was under the direction of Mr. Burns. I was fortunate to be the station manager the last few years of its operation so I'm dedicating this page to Mr. Burns and the great memories of CWCI.

Contest
We used to have fun mixing songs and creating "commercial type announcements” back then, but of course we were using records & 8 Tracks, (Remember those?). We also had contests as well, so in the spirit of having fun, I thought I’d put together a mix of some of the popular songs from the mid - late 70's, maybe some early 80's. So here's how this contest works. Download & Listen to the song, name all the songs, AND the artists that did them, since this is the first one, I’ve kept it pretty easy, I’ll make them harder as we go along. The first 3 people to correctly guess all the songs and artists will win “Bragging Rights” for this contest. Have Fun!

Contest # 1 - Download and save this song in MP3 format, (right click and "save as" for IE) so you can listen to it over again. - I have sacrificed a small amount of the original quality to help with the download for our friends on dial up. Contest # 1 CWCI Mix Songs - 3min 7sec

Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Mix
Who says there's no hockey?
I've put together a short mix of some of the more popular songs we use during the Leaf games at the Air Canada Centre. Why not make this a contest too? See if you can guess the titles of these songs, with bonus points for the artists as well. Download, listen, listen again, and email me the answers.
