Did you know?.....

Did you know that each showcase contained 44 pictures? The pins were pre-set to display 22 vertical and 22 horizontal pictures. Most showcases were set along a specific theme (football game. dance, people being people pictures , dances, commencement etc.) although, when a specific event didn't yield enough pictures for a full showcase I would integrate them into a full display. I tried to include an equal number of pictures that featured male and female students in each showcase.

The first year I was at Woburn the pictures were displayed back near the Geography office in the north west corner of the school but it moved to the display case near the main office by Christmas of that year.

Thanks to Mr. Wilcox - Eddie and Steve, 1989

Each showcase cost about $35 (in today's dollars) to produce and took approximately four hours from film development to picture selection. The showcase was changed approximately every four school days.

In my years at Woburn I took approximately one hundred and thirty thousand black and white photographs. - Terry Flahiff

Let's not forget that Mr. Dick also shot thousands of slides and produced slide presentations for commencement each year. - Many Thanks to both of these gentlemen for all their dedication over the years!
