About
Me: After high school I got
a good secure government job so I could move out of
my parents house as quickly as possible. After 9 years
of that, I ventured into Real Estate sales full time
for a couple years. Then became an Exec. Assistant
at Hitachi then Mitsubishi, meanwhile meeting my husband
to be in '94. We married in '97 had my one and only
amazine son in '98. We all live in Oshawa and I have
been a stay at home mom for these past 7 years. I
will be heading back to the work force in Sept/05.
I remember Mr. Flahiff(sp?) and his dreaded camera
and sitting in Detention for a week thanks to Mr.
Hill the scary principal, but what fun other than
that!!! If you know me, drop
me a line... |

About
Me :I
continued working in the army reserves part-time and
did not go to university. I soon became a resource
management support clerk full time. I've travelled
a bit in the US, England, the Dominican and Australia.
I also invested about 2 yrs of my salary in a bar
with someone I barely knew.
As stubborn as I am I never learn, it's been hell! |

About
Me: After leaving Woburn I attended Niagara
College in St. Catharines where a received a diploma
in Horticulture. Desiring more knowledge (don't ask
me why) I transferred to the University of Guelph
where after a long struggle (damn you Calculus!!)
I received my Honours BSc. (Agr.) majoring in Environmental
Biology.
I've worked for Weall & Cullen Nurseries and the
City of Toronto Parks and Recreation Department where
I learned valuable (and fun) skills such as Heavy
Truck Operation and my personal favourite Zamboni
Driver. Nothing beats driving a Zamboni outside in
a blizzard or with a -30 C wind chill. Been there,
done that! Night shift was the life.
I now work at the Toronto Zoo where I am the Chief
Horticulturist for the African Pavilion (ok, actually
I'm the only gardener in the building, shoot me for
embellishment) Lots of fun as my duties range from
maintaining all the plants in and around the pavilion
and animal exhibits to actually playing a small part
in animal nutrition and enrichment.
As for Woburn, in some respects I never left it, as
I still hang with the same gang of idiots after 24
years!!! Great to still be with 'em all and I would
never change anything these past years. Ok, making
a little bit more money I'd change. Nothing else!
Best Memories: Getting an entire Art Class lost on
the TTC because I have no sense of direction and Mr
Haigh letting me and Stu “Grampa” MacKinnon
leave English class by the window (ground floor of
course) because we were playing the game “Assassin”
and we didn't want to be “killed”. |

About Me After Grad, I went to work
to raise funds for University. Many of you have
heard that I was taken out by a truck in '88, but
the rumours of my demise were greatly exagerated.
Just after my last exam I was hit by a car.
It ended my police career before it could get started,
but through the kind outpouring of support from "Woburnites"
and my friends from UofT and my family I survived
through very tumultuous times and went on to work
for the Provincial and then Federal Governements to
where I find myself today working for Public Works
and Government Services Canada. During my recouperation
I was invloved in a Blues Band along with Rick "Big
Bird" Thomas and we enjoyed some noteriety in
B club scene in Toronto back in the day. I married
the love of my life whom I met in my last year at
uoft with 3 very energetic children 2 boys and a girl. Thanks
to all who were there for me! You know who you are,
I was in a coma. Best Memory, Cast parties and
Boston Trip. |
